Green City AG: Heike von der Heyden new CFO

With effect from September 1, 2021, the Supervisory Board of Green City AG has appointed Heike von der Heyden as Chief Financial Officer. This role has been taken over on a transitional basis by Frank Wolf, who will again be responsible for portfolio management and financial sales on the board of directors. Jens Mühlhaus continues to act as spokesperson for the board of directors and chief operating officer.

Heike von der Heyden has already worked at Green City AG since 2019 and has since been responsible for transactions and project finance. “I look forward to developing strategies with my fellow Executive Board members and Green City employees to position the Green City Group in an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable manner in the thriving renewable energy market environment,” says von der Heyden. Green City AG now has more than 135 subsidiaries and has a pipeline of international projects of 800 MW in the solar and wind sectors. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Matthias Altmann, is delighted that the position has been filled within the company: “Heike von der Heyden won after a thorough selection process against many outstanding candidates – we are pleased to be able to appoint an excellent financial expert from our own company to the management board. ”

Heike von der Heyden has over two decades of leadership experience in private equity and corporate finance in Germany and the United States. She has several years of supervisory and advisory board experience in medium-sized companies. Since September 1, 2021, Heike von der Heyden has been responsible for finance, transactions, human resources and central services at Green City AG.
